Hi, I’m Cherie Amour. A twenty-eight, okay, fine, you got me, thirty-two year old girl living in the heart of LA. (As if LA has a heart. It just chews you up & spits you out, if Partrick Swayze of Dirty Dancing fame is any indication.)
But yes, my Los Angeles. It’s actually really grown on me. At first I was like “WTF! What’s really going on!!” But now, having lived here for three years (via Berkeley via Miami via Puerto Rico via New York- don’t ask, I was “finding myself”), I have to admit that I really like it now. LA, where everybody is a star. Or at least owns some oversized “looks like you’re famous” sunglasses. Or, at the barest minimum, has seen someone really, really famous at the Urth Cafe. You get the picture.
This is the story of my dating life from here on. What happens next is anybody’s guess.
